Advising Information

All Agricultural and Resource Economics (AREC) majors must meet with the Assistant Director for mandatory advisement before registering each semester. The purpose of advisement is as follows:

  • Review your academic plan to ensure that you are on track for graduation
  • Get cleared for registration so that you can add classes to your program for the upcoming semester
  • Discuss your academic and career goals

All students who wish to declare a minor in the AREC department must first meet with their major advisor with a completed minor interest form. After your major advisor signs the form, you will bring it to the Assistant Director at AREC for processing. Please click on "Minors" for more information.

View the registration page for more information and required documents to bring to your appointment. You can schedule an appointment using the the online advising scheduler. All advising appointments are in 2200 Symons.
